The Portuguese
alphabet does not normally include the letters K, W and Y, but since there are
some words derived
from English (e.g. "show", "ok", etc) that are normally used in Brazil
(as well as names), we
included these letters in here.
Tips

We recommend you to learn the
Portuguese alphabet as your first step to learn Brazilian
Portuguese or the Portuguese from Portugal. It's much easier
to understand people speaking Portuguese if you have a good
handle of the sounds in our Portuguese alphabet

Also, you need to know well the
alphabet because you may frequently need to spell your name
or an address while talking on the phone or during a trip to
Brazil or Portugal; so, to learn how to spell your name in
Portuguese is your first lesson!
